Wellness Care and Vaccines
We strive to prevent illness whenever possible. The time and effort invested in wellness programs has rewards for both pets and owners. Our wellness programs are designed specifically for your pet and include: comprehensive physical exam; internal parasite testing; heartworm and flea control; vaccination program; and specialized in-house blood tests for all life stages.
We cover all areas of internal medicine, including: Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Neurology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Orthopedic surgery, Oncology and Endocrinology.
We embrace the holistic approach to pet health and wellness. We balance traditional medicine with acupuncture, herbal and chiropractic therapies.
Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet’s teeth. We use modern and safe ultrasonic technology to clean each tooth thoroughly – above and below the gum line. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup.
Veterinary Care Center’s advanced surgical techniques and technology are utilized by our experienced doctors and staff. All surgery candidates are carefully pre-screened using comprehensive blood work and full physical examinations. Anesthetics are then specifically tailored to your pet. During surgery, your pet will be kept warm with a heated surgery table and hydrated with an IV catheter fluid drip. Surgical services also include advanced sterilization techniques; ECG and oxygen saturation monitors and intensive after-surgery care.
Lasers are a minimally invasive alternative to traditional surgery. Lasers replace scalpels in many procedures, and are useful for a wide range of conditions, such as cyst, tumor and wart removal, and can even be used in declawing. Laser procedures result in less pain, less bleeding and less swelling. They reduce risk of infection and result in less post-operative discomfort.
All specialty surgical procedures are performed in house by Dr.Jennifer Wardlaw DVM, MS, DACVS.
Whether it’s from arthritis or post-operative pain, pets feel pain and discomfort just like people. We know that recognizing and alleviating pain in animals is the essence of good patient care. Our fully-stocked pharmacy allows us to easily prescribe medications and supplements for your pet if pain management is needed at home.
Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families. We offer widely-used AVID microchip products to increase the chances of a safe recovery.
Some pets require special food, and all pets benefit from a balanced diet. Our staff can help you choose the right diet for your pet and we offer several lines of prescription diets for your convenience.
We stock a wide range of top-quality veterinary drugs and supplements. We also offer a number of prescription diets to address problems such as diabetes, kidney disease, allergies and obesity.
Radiographs, also known as X-rays, help our veterinarians evaluate muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems. Digital radiography is faster and reduces radiation exposure because it makes taking precise radiographs easier. Digital radiographs are also easier to share with specialists if needed.
Saying goodbye to a long-time friend is painful. We work with clients to ensure their pet’s comfort and dignity. Services include taking care of the remains according to your wishes.
